I want to apologize in advance for this page. It is tedious in the extreme. It does, however, contain a valuable lesson.
There is no amount of prep work involving little scraps of paper and cell phone pictures taken as you go that will go to waste.
With that said...
For one of the transformers I sold, I made the image on the left. I thought it would work here because as far as I can
tell, all of the T3 transformers were wired with the same colors. I used it as a guide to rewire the transformer from
the radio (image on right). Note the remnants of some of the PVC insulation.

Rewired and reinstalled the transformer in the can. I don't think there's a wrong way to install it. The Xacto knife
came in handy in getting the screws through the top holes. The very long wires were because I'm short on 22 ga silicone
stranded wire and didn't want to be discarding extra bits as I soldered them in the radio. They're also because fishing really
short wires into and through the really small grommets in a tight space is not what I want to spend my day doing.

I know this is overkill but whatever...
I made a guide for putting the colored wires from T3 into the right holes. It's two sides of the same scrap of paper.

When I tried to install the transformer, my new wires were crossing as they went from the transformer terminals the the grommets. They didn't do that before so I got really confused. I double checked my scrap of paper and it's correct. Not so much overkill anymore.
I dug out T3 from the 4th radio:

It matches my scrap of paper.
It turns out I swapped the green and blue wires. An easy fix. An easy fix at this stage
of the process. A royal pain in the trunk at a later date when this all buried under new caps and whatnot.

Installing the transformer with the super long wires is a piece of cake. The Bungee cord helped to
keep things in place until I could turn it on it's top again and screw it into place.

Just to be on the safe side, I used the ohmmeter to test the resistances of my new wires. I compared the readings to the resistance tables. It was still wrong. I uninstalled it. Again. I checked it. Again. It was right. The tables were wrong.
